The cement waste
heat power generation CDM project in Hebei whose CER
we have purchased has been approved by Chinese
National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).

The second solar cooker project in China, Federal
Intertrade Hong-Ru River Solar Cooker Project, has
successfully registered on May 31, 2009 at UNFCCC EB
47th meeting. Similar to the first solar cooker
project, this project was co-developed by our
company and Ningxia Federal Intertrade Co. Ltd, and
it is estimated to generate annual emission
reduction of approximately 36,000 ton of CO2.

The first solar cooker project in China and the
first commercial scale CDM solar cooker project in
the world, Federal Intertrade Pengyang Solar Cooker
Project, has successfully registered on March 27,
2009 at UNFCCC EB 46th meeting. Co-developed by our
company and Ningxia Federal Intertrade Co. Ltd, the
project will provide 17,000 solar cookers to the
poor rural villagers in southern mountainous area in
Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in China, one of the
poorest place in China, The project is estimated to
generate annual emission reduction of approximately
36,000 ton of CO2. The project set up a milestone in
developing projects that contribute to rural
sustainability, environment, and poverty relief with
innovative carbon financing. It was widely quoted
and praised by many media.
June 2008
The Chief Representative of our Beijing office, Ms.
Jiang, has attended the the voluntary service
delegate organized by the All-China Women's
Federation to Sichuan Wenchuan earthquake area. Ms.
Jiang made donation on behalf of our company and
spent 10 days providing voluntary service in the
disaster area. Our company, along with Honeywell,
supported by All-China Women's Federation, initiated
the Love Relay family voluntary program, focusing on
the disaster-relief activities of Xiaoyu town,
Pengzhou city, Sichuan province. The Chinese Central

May 2008
The Hebei Yuxian Second Phase Wind project, a
cooperation among our company, Swiss Re Global
Markets Ltd., and HECIC New Energy Co., has obtained
CDM project approval at Chinese NDRC. The project is
expected to generate 500,000 tons of CER by 2012.
April 2008
On April 10, our company formerly
became a member of China Business Council for
Sustainable Development (CBCSD). CBCSD
was established in October 2003 and its goal is to
promote sustainable development in China. Its
memberships consist of many well-known Chinese
corporations as well as Fortune 500 companies
operating in China. On the annual meeting of CBCSD
on April 10, our company became a new member of
CBCSD along with many prestigious companies such as
Coca Cola, Honeywell, China Merchants Bank, EDF,
Sinochem Fuji Xerox, etc. The top management of our
company attended this event.

Our Company has reached an agreement with Hebei
Jinniu Resources on purchase the emission reduction
from its cement plant waster heat power generation
project. The expected CER is 190,000 ton by 2012.
February 2008
Our company
attended the Carbon Form America during February
25-27 in San Francisco, USA. We have discussed with
other carbon market participants on the outlook of
carbon market in North America. Based on the
attitude of the current three presidential
candidates, the majority of people expressed
optimism towards the involvement of USA into
international carbon market after 2008.
December 2007
Many mainstream media including Chinese NDRC
website, Ningxia Daily, Xinhua Net, and the Ministry
for Foreign Affairs of Finland, has reported the
solar cooker CDM projects developed by our company
and Ningxia Federal Intertrade Co. These media also
gave positive comments on the social and
environmental benefits generated by the projects.
November 2007
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland has
reached an agreement to purchase the CER generated
by Ningxia Federal Solar Cooker Project developed by
our company. The project will provide solar cookers
to the poor villagers in southern Ningxia province
for their daily cooking and water boiling. The
expected CER by 2012 is 175,000.
September 2007
Swiss Re Global Markets signed an agreement to
purchase the CER generated by Pengyang and Hong-Ru
River Federal Solar Cooker Projects developed by our
company. The project will provide solar cookers to
the poor villagers in southern Ningxia province for
their daily cooking and water boiling. The expected
CER by 2012 is 333,000.
May 2007
Mr. Ju Ning,
managing director, has attended the Carbon Expo in
Cologne, Germany and
European Wind Energy Exhibition in Milan, Italy.
During these events Mr. Ning has extensively
exchanged opinions with many participants on the
outlook of world carbon market and clean energy.
